Yes, I bumped into Jessica Alba
Now first off, I’m not a celebrity kinda guy. In all modestly, I’ve met a few - Diddy, Gangstarr, the cast of Dallas (when I was 7), Jamie Foxx, etc. - and just like every other good Canadian, you smile and keep your composure because you know these are just regular people and they would like to be treated as such. When it came to Jessica Alba however, things didn’t go as I thought they would…
At a movie theatre’s box office with a friend deciding on what movie to see this weekend, in strolled Miss Alba inches away from me. She was in tow with just one other dude and immediately I felt the urge to kick him repeatedly in the shin. I then realized it was Cash Warren, friend of Baron Davis, son of the great UCLA baller and actor, Mike Warren and a much bigger guy than me. Then I knew…that I was staring, open-mouthed and frozen, at Jessica Alba. The worst part was she already looked nervous because it seemed her “disguise” (a pair of amber-tinted aviators, on a cloudy day nonetheless) wasn’t going to hold up, and seeing me stare at her must of made it worse.
Just as quickly as it started though, it was over. Mr. Warren lightly pushed her forward in reassurance that it would be okay to go ahead and watch a movie at this very public theatre (since there was only one guy staring at her and he looked pretty harmless, if not mentally challenged).
Proudly, like good Canadians, me and my companion just went about our business without a picture, handshake or anything intrusive from what hopefully was just a peaceful Saturday matinee at the movies for Jessica Alba.

[...] Lastly, there may be another Jessica Alba sighting in my neighborhood as production continues on Mike Myers’ ‘The Love Guru’, which will be filming in the condo next to me this evening. Cross your fingers that, if I get the chance to meet Ms. Alba, I don’t make a fool of myself again. [...]
