N’Oh Canada

Official word today that, like the iTunes music store launch a few years ago, Canadians are not on the immediate agenda for Apple’s iPhone launch. This doesn’t surprise me seeing as they really have to get it right in their local (although massive) market first before expanding internationally. Tough news for technology fans up here. Although, it’s even tougher for people who, like myself, were really waiting for a revolutionary, truly design-conscious product in the mobile communications industry.

Despite the marketing hype, this is a phone that really gets the interactions right (and the ads are the best I’ve seen in sometime, as Jason at SvN has pointed out).

  1. Dude, I’ll be playing around with it next week :-)

I’ll let you know what I think about it, but I’ve heard that there are gripes about the touch screen. I wonder if apple.com will sell them? I know the apple stores here are going to be selling them out the store.

  2. Here’s your answer, Ed. I don’t know about the actual product but the marketing for the BB Curve sure pales in comparison with the iPhone. I just finished watching the guided tour and tried to find something similar on the Curve site to compare features but all I found were candy-coated marketing videos with silhouettes of dancers?

Anyhow, I saw your pics, so the camera is great, how do you like it overall?
