It’s -20 in Toronto with the windchill and for some reason J Dilla makes me thinks of summer. So, off the top, here’s 5 of my fav Dilla-related tracks.
- Fall in Love - Slum Village, Fantasic Vol 2. (Spun this at a mainstream hip-hop jam, crowd of 1000+ went wild)
- The Heist - Jaylib, Champion Sound (Just grimey. In the good way.)
- 2U4U - Slum Village, Fantastic Vol 2. (For the ladies)
- Anti-American Graffiti - J Dilla, Donuts (Love the riff sample)
- 1nce Again - A Tribe Called Quest, Beats, Rhymes & Life (Possibly the worst ATCQ but this track possibly saved it)
- Doin’ It - Common, Like Water for Chocolate (Sorry, I can’t just do 5. Most underated Common album.)
